Time Posted: 14.50 the pin got off to a good start beating the blue pool at the blue pool 3 2 .with dickie polly brian and nick bryant unavailable we were a little concerned as we know the pool have a good side but ian and nathan won the first doubles playing some cracking darts , gary and nick c lost the second game they led all the way but no finish. next up andy poxon and steve redfern won both playing well and they will take some beating next was paul redfern in the singles who played okay by his high standards but an excellent finish won him the game and us the match. steve pickering was last on played well but no finish cost him . overall a good performance and with james to come in a very strong looking squad at the pin this season From: Wayne

Time Posted: 11.56 last night was the singles knockout cup at the venue a great night and the pin lads did well . ian lost 3 2 to a very good player nathan lost to jim from the cornishman wayne lost to steve in an all pin clash .bryan got to the quarter finals and lost to paul redfern a good player, steve lost to holty in the quarter final. andy poxon had an awesome night and beat some top players to reach the final . the final was andy v holty and holty took it 3 1 , holty played some great darts and drank pop andy ran out of steam a little and was still putting the lager away , well done holty and andy awesome stuff from both of you From: Wayne

Time Posted: 13.58 The 'B' team had no game this week as the silver ghost packed up. The 'A' team were away at the Blue Pool 'A' and won 4-1 . a good result against a good side. nick chad and gary being our only losers on the night . a good win for nick and muriel and brian and brent , in the singles andy and steve were too good for their opponents. This was the last game of the season but most of us will be in the singles at the venue on august 12. Should be a cracking night From: Wayne

Time Posted: 16.36 Pin A team had no game so we went on a jolly to watch the B team play the robin at the robin . a good night and a cracking match saw the pin win 3 - 2 , pin lost the first match but paul massey and ian f squared it with a good steady performance. due to late arrivals from the robin the singles were next up . malcolm somehow lost a game he controlled but had no finish , then paul making his singles debut won with a very good effort. debs and big ian then won the deciding match destroying a good pair and deb playing like a typical lady player finishing on double 1 From: Wayne

Time Posted: 17.05 Corner Pin A team lost a good game 3 2 at the stenson bubble who have won the league again the two nicks in the doubles and brian in the singles winning for the pin , two points gained against derbys best darts team who do not have a bad player in the squad. The B team beat the labour club 5 0 with tris showing a new sport he can play good steady darts by everyone and a great result big well done to both teams From: Wayne

Time Posted: 14.15 Pin A team beat the Brick and Tile 3-2 tuesday night a brilliant result against one of the best teams in Derby. Nick and Bryan lost the first game, Wayne and Muriel lost the second slow starts costing both, at 2 down it looked over then Brent and Polly won and it was game on. First up in the singles was Frank Davis for the Brick against Andy Poxon. Andy away with a 120 played some awesome darts and beat one of Derbys best players. Last up was Brian v Holty to decide the match. Holty played poorly by his standards and an underperforming Brian won comfortably. So the Pin win 3-2. Andy was man of the match and nobody will know Matty cost his team the match. Pin B team lost 3 2 at the Liversage.

Time Posted: 11.22 Home to the Cornishman won 3-2 . Great result great game well done everyone , muriel and lesley won the first game coming back against two good players and holding their nerve to put us 1 up . the two nicks then lost after a slow start cost them a late rally showed what they can do . dickie and wayne won in another tight game .polly then played a blinder so did his opponent both getting away with 152 then polly hit a 180 but his finish let him down losing a cracking game . last up was brian who hit another 180 on his way to winning a very tense match , both players missing their doubles and the game and match swung both ways . overall a brilliant result against a top side we knew this was going to be a tough game and we got the result , man of the match brian for holding his nerve when it mattered , polly also played a blinder but was so unlucky to lose. - end
